I know it's been a week since I've last blogged. I didn't mean for that to happen but here we are so lets catch up!
This past week has been super busy. My schedule seems to have me working two mega long shifts a week, and three evening/nighttime shifts. My longest shifts this week was a CRAZY 10 hours and 45 minute! When taking travelling time into account, I'm gone for about 12 hours! Luckily I don't mind the work I'm doing. Playing a Canadian and smiling and waving isn't too bad for 11 hours.
Plus when cool moments like this happen its hard to believe I'm actually working...
Ratatouille is the number one most popular ride in Epcot at the France pavilion. I briefly mentioned to my trainer that I haven't ridden it yet because the line is always a couple hours long. Later during my day, my trainer and supervisor surprised me by walking me over to the ride and completely skipping the line, allowing me to ride Ratatouille with no wait, during work hours! It was so much fun and an experience only working in Disneyworld would allow me to have. I tried getting on another popular ride, Frozen before heading back work but they didn't budge. maybe next time...
Yesterday was my day off, so Carmen from work and I headed out to Epcot for a couple of hours before her shift started. We were able to go on a couple of rides, and I learned the greatest life hack. Test Track is one of the best rides in Epcot and usually has quite a long line. The wait time was 65 minuets so we decided to go through the single rider line. Although we were put into two different cars, the line only took 5 minuets! I will probably forever ride the single rider line.
Festival of the Arts in Epcot is coming to an end in the middle of February so for lunch we tried some more festival food. I had a roasted beet salad while Carmen had a deconstructed BLT. We both split a deconstructed key lime pie for dessert which was my favourite part. It was so citrusy and sour, I loved it. We also took advantage of the community mural being painted during the festival. You have the opportunity to grab paint and a paint brush and add to the mural! It will be fully completed when the festival comes to an end.
Life has been super busy lately so I haven't had too much of a chance to think about anything else. I'm always looking for things to do, so today I'm having more of a relaxing day. I might head out to Disney Springs this afternoon for some retail therapy.
See ya real soon!
xoxo

A paint by numbers mural. You can't tell what the picture is until stepping back
What a delicious lunch!

Looks like a lot of fun! I’m looking forward to riding Ratatouille when I’m down next time.
