January 10/11- These last couple of days have been super busy and slightly overwhelming. Who knew moving to a different country and getting into a completely different routine while also meeting so many new people at the same time would be stressful!?
I have now met all three of my roommates. Diana from Puerto Rico, Meghan from Michigan and Martina from Mexico. All three girls seem friendly and overall quiet and clean, making me hopeful they will be great roommates.
My own piece of privacy and comfort (my bedroom) has officially been swept, mopped, scrubbed down and outfitted with some personal touches including a new comforter, fairy lights and a mini version of Truffle that Cole gifted me on Christmas. My room feels less like a sterile hospital room and more like a bedroom now.
on January 10 I went out to the Polynesian Resort to meet up with most of my fellow Canadians who had the same arrival day as me and watched the fireworks at Magic Kingdom from across the lake. This 20 minute firework show was quite a spectacular sight and rumoured to cost about $40,000 a night!
January 11 was a much less chaotic day. I finished up cleaning my room before meeting up with my parents and heading out to Disney Springs to shop till we dropped! Except I'm still waiting to receive my discount card so didn't end up buying anything. I more so scouted out potential future purchases.
I know I shouldn't be complaining when I know Kelowna is experiencing -14 weather but it has been chilly here too! I mean 15 degrees? Come on! I had to put a light sweater on today for crying out loud!!
Anyways... Tomorrow is my last quiet day before pure chaos erupts as I begin my first official shift on Saturday.
I hope everyones doing well <3
See Ya Real Soon!
xoxo

All cleaned and decorated. Spot mini Truffle on her throne.

Can you tell where we're from?

Sounds like you’re making lots of friends! I like the lights in your room and little T!
