I can't believe everything that happens in just 1 week. I feel like I've lived a whole life since my last post. Just when I click submit on my blog I remember I forgot to tell you something! For example my last blog missed out on my story about witnessing the eclipse.

April 8 was eclipse day and Orlando experienced a partial eclipse. The skies were clear and bright until about 3;30pm when the sky began to look like you were wearing sunglasses. With proper eclipse glasses on I looked up at the sun and saw something that looked like a half moon. Pretty cool!

The highlight of my week was having the opportunity to do a backstage tour of Millennium Falcon Smugglers Run ride and Galaxies Edge in Hollywood Studios. I somehow managed to grab a spot through Flamingo Crossings events page and woke up at the dramatic time of 4:30am to catch the tour. Since I'm not the biggest Star Wars fan and only have the very basic knowledge of that world I was concerned I wouldn't appreciate it as much as others. With that being said I still enjoyed my time a lot. First of all it's pretty cool to be in the park before it's even open and although Smugglers Run is a virtual ride and almost strictly run off QR codes it provided a completely different experience than the Expedition Everest tour. The highlights of the tour for me was watching the pod you sit in during the ride move out onto a conveyer belt and bounce around while the guests navigate flying it, being able to touch the life size Millennium Falcon outside the ride and trying Blue Milk. A popular beverage in Galaxies Edge it's ironically dairy free, instead being a blend of rice and coconut milk. It was fruity and sweet with a milk consistency. I will never turn down the opportunity to do a backstage tour and hope to do more in the future. Always such a cool and a once in a lifetime experience!

The rest of my week consisted of have having FULL park days before starting work in the evenings. I experienced my first character dining experience when Saveena and I had breakfast at Garden Grill in Epcot. A rotating restaurant where Pluto, Chip, Dale and of course Mickey visit your table. All while you get to see the ride Living with the Land below you. A agriculture boat ride where they grow actual food used not only at Garden Grill but other Disneyworld restaurants. Definitely a fun experience the cinnamon loaf was one of the best things I've ate since being here!!

Believe it or not I am still working full time as well. Mainly scheduled late evening/night shifts I have learned to appreciate having the majority of the day free to do whatever I want. The job is still going well. I am enjoying the different positions and meeting up with the French cast members when we clear the park at night. It's pretty hard to complain when you're paid to just smile and wave and navigate people to the nearest restroom.

The weather has really been heating up! Averaging highs in the 30 now I am loving it. Granted it is only mid April so who knows what I'll be saying in the dead of summer. For now it's been lovely.

Thank you for making it all the way to the end!

I <3 U!

Until next time

xoxo

Yup, touched that :)

Inside the guts of the Millennium Falcon, before boarding the ship and beginning the ride.

Celebrity autographs. No need to brag

That watermelon was actually grown below us on the Living with Land ride. Also I will always dream of that cinnamon loaf!!

A rare photo of me at work! I'm pretty lucky I get to watch such an amazing fireworks show almost every night.
