Keeping BUSY!!

As you can probably tell from my lack of blogging I have been doing a great job keeping busy. Between working long hours to filling my weekends with excursions life has been going by quickly.

It has caught up to me though. I am recovering from a cold that was long overdue. I honestly don't know how I didn't get sick sooner. Lack of sleep and and always moving, my body needed rest. Luckily it's not a very bad cold and only really knocked me down for one day last week.

Prior to my cold I had a fun filled day with my co-workers Alisha and Amber and their friends visiting from Canada Aysha and Ai. Since Alisha drove her car down all the way from Saskatchewan at the beginning of her program we can explore around outside the Disney bubble a lot easier. We left in the morning en route to Flagler Beach, about an 1.5 hour drive from Disney. The drive took around 2 hours because of an accident, but hey isn't the journey about the drive not destination? Something like that. Anyways I was excited to leave the car once we arrived to the beach, set out our towels, sunscreen up just in time for the weather to turn ugly and get rained out. Oh well, we still enjoyed some shell hunting on the sand and watching cute surfers in the Atlantic Ocean. We grabbed lunch at a beach bar and vowed to come back when the weather's nicer before exploring around some shops and meeting a precious eccentric shop owner who let us all take free wish anklets that grant wishes when you tie them on your ankle.

We made the commute back to Disney where we left behind Amber and Ai for dinner at an Italian restaurant on Disney's Boardwalk. I had a Margherita pizza and grabbed some ice cream for dessert. A super fun day I really enjoyed leaving Disney to explore more of Florida.

I am still quite enjoying work when I don't get scheduled super late shifts. Late shifts are still tough to swallow. For example, tonight I don't work until 5;15pm and end at midnight. Not my favourite but my day shifts are fun. A group of people from Tennessee yesterday wanted their picture taken with me because they couldn't believe they met a real life Canadian in the flesh. Odd but funny I think it's fun to play the part of a Canadian, even with the endless eh jokes from guests.

The family is reuniting this week!! I'm excited to see Mom, Dad and Cole in just a couple of short days! Hopefully they smuggle Truffle in their bags but either way I'm excited to see everyone in person!

Also I met the M&M man so there's that.
