It Begins...

Welcome to my first official blog post!! I have successfully landed in Orlando early on January 6 after a tiring and long day of travel. It began on January 5 when I, a slightly emotional wreck faced what I believed to be the most difficult part of potentially this whole experience... Saying bye to Truffle. I treated her like a bandage. Say bye quickly and it may not hurt as bad. With a quivering lip and one last pet I was out the door.
Cole drove us to the airport where another tough goodbye took place before Mom, Dad and I were quickly in the air on our way to Calgary.
My stomach was nervous waiting in line at customs where I presented my I-797 visa, offer letter to Disney and passport before the officer stamped my passport with an official Q1 visa stamp and therefore granted me into the good ol U.S of A for 1 year!!
Typical "staffing" delay from WestJet in Calgary meant we didn't land in Orlando until 1;30am. Collecting my luggage and rental car and driving out to the hotel meant we didn't go to sleep until 4;00am.
January 6- Luckily we didn't have much on the go today except for getting our bearings straight around the neighboorhood. The hotel we are staying at (Towneplace Inn and Suites) is only about 1km away from where I'll be moving into come Monday. Between my apartment and this hotel is a shopping centre with a Target, Starbucks and Ben & Jerry's ice cream. What more could a girl want?
January 7- Today was another relaxed day. The most important part of today was walking over to Flamingo Crossing Village (where I'll be living) and previewing the outside grounds. First impressions are how remarkably massive the complex looks and what looks to be a very cool, very organized bus system for cast members living here to take you to every stop around the Disney parks you could imagine.
Talk Soon
xoxo

We've Arrived!
