What does the Titanic, Taylor Swift and Harry Potter all have in common? Well this past busy week has a little of it all! Enjoy :)

Flamingo Crossings Village sets up excursions for participants. By signing up and paying a fee you get to leave the Disney bubble and explore more of Orlando. Myself, Alaisha and Carmen signed up for a Titanic Gala a few weeks ago and the fun day finally came. After getting black tie ready, we boarded the coach bus and were escorted with about 30 other participants to a Titanic Museum in downtown Orlando. We wondered around the museum and viewed actual artifacts from the Titanic including dishes, luggage, screws and menus. They even had an interactive iceberg that was set to the temperature the water would have been that night.

Afterwards we were given a card with the name and description of a real guest of the Titanic. I was fortunate to be given Lady Duff Gordon. A 1st class guest who was a well known fashion designer, inventing the slit in a skirt and the word chic. My husband (Sir Duff Gordon) was also on board but I was a rarity, being the breadwinner in the relationship. We were served a three course meal while actors came around to the tables and interacted with us as our characters. I was even given a personalized name tags so the actors knew who I was and praised me for my creativity and fashion design. It was pretty fun playing the part of a rich and spoiled passenger. Not everyone in my group was as lucky with some participants given 3rd class status. After dinner we met the "captain" and it was off to the grand hall where the actors reenacted what that fateful night would have been like for the crew and passengers. Woman were separated from the men and loaded onto lifeboats first.

At the end of the night we were escorted into a memorial room and found the names of all our characters to see if they lived or died. Luckily both myself and my husband survived that night and went on to start a charity for Titanic survivors and sadly eventually died of breast cancer at age 71.

After returning to Flamingo Crossings I went into a deep dive on Lady Duff Gordon and found it fascinating. She was such a powerful woman in those late 19th and early 20th century years. I really enjoyed being her for a day.

On a lighter note, a few girls from work and I went to TAYLOR SWIFT night at House of Blues in Disney Springs. Such a fun night!! We danced and sang with so many other Swifties all night long while a DJ played her top hits. It was SO much fun definitely worth the $30 admission cost. $20 drinks though... Crazy Disney pricing.

Another iconic moment happened since we've last talked... I am now officially a Universal Studios annual pass holder!! Alaisha, Carmen and I went out to Universal last Friday during our day off and I finally got my pass! I only need to visit the park 4 times for the pass to pay for itself so definitely worth it. Although the park was absolutely packed with spring breakers we mainly stayed in the Harry Potter world where we waited 2 HOURS for Hagrid's motorcycle coaster. The newest ride in Harry Potter I think it was so worth it. No spoilers but it was so much fun. Plus the line actually flew by while we drank Butter -Beer and played Heads Up on Alaisha's phone. I think we also entertained fellow guests in line with our competitive game, especially when we did the song version and broke out into classic and modern songs to try and guess the title. Nothing like blurting out Bohemium Rhaspdy in-front of so many strangers, We even had some people helping us out with our game.

Although we weren't able to do many rides due to high wait times, we caught the second last day of the Mardi Gras parade where we saw epic floats and were thrown so many plastic beaded necklaces. Way too many I need I now have necklaces hanging from my bedposts and anything similar.

I never thought I'd be an annual pass holder at Universal Studios, so that's pretty cool!

Luckily I worked long days throughout the Easter weekend, keeping my mind off being away from home for the first major holiday here. I always love Easter back home but being here is so temporary I know I will be home in no time.

I am enjoying my time here so much and I feel like everyday I have so many more memories made and stories to share. Who know what my next blog post will bring??

Thank you for checking in. Talk soon <3

No need to brag, but I did meet the Captain of the Titanic

All three of us were 1st class passengers and all survived! Go Team!!

Universal Studios newest pass holder!

The line for Hagrid's had such a cool lookout point of Hogwarts.

Going from platform 9 3/4 I found myself in the middle of Diagon Alley!!

My favourite Mardi Gras float

Ready for a night of Shaking it Off!! So fun
